China to launch green certificates for renewable power in July (Reuters: Feb 2, 2017)
As a pilot scheme, the NDRC will issue tradeable certificates to renewable energy producers. Once certificates are sold to users, producers will no longer receive subsidy from government.

CSRC to back green firms for listings (Xinhua: Feb 9, 2017)
The China Securities Regulatory Commission said it will continue to support environmentally friendly firms to launch IPOs and to grow through effective use of the capital market.

China’s solar energy reached the capacity of 77.42 gigawatts, representing 1% of the country’s energy output. Investment for renewable energy projects are expected to further increase.

China to halt some new wind power projects as supply glut builds (Reuters: Feb 20, 2017)
The National Energy Administration says China will halt investment for new wind power projects in eight provinces because of increasing cases of wasted wind energy.

China nuclear push stalled by next-generation reactors (Bloomberg New Energy Finance: Feb 21, 2017)
With 20 projects currently under construction, China’s decision to approve its first new nuclear reactors in 2 years may need to wait after China successfully start up the world’s first generation III+ reactors.
